COURSE DESCRIPTION
Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork with roots in the ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and practice. Combined with the teachings of macrobiotic theories of health, this form of Shiatsu is an effective tool in bringing balance and well-being to the recipient. A sequence of gentle joint rotations, stretching, kneading, as well as palm and finger pressure along the body's meridians (channels) stimulate and balance the flow of Qi (energy). This allows the recipient to experience the many benefits of Shiatsu, including a deep sense of relaxation, often pain relief and an overall feeling of well-being.
